Stuffed French Toast
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups mixed sliced fruit
- 6 Tbs cream cheese, softened (or Nutella)
- 1 Tbs olive oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk (or half and half, or cream)
- 1 Tbs honey
- 12 slices day-old bread of your choice
Directions
- Add fruit with a smear of softened cream cheese between two slices of bread.
- Preheat skillet. Add enough olive oil to coat. Whisk together all ingredients. Dip sandwiches and coat completely in mixture.
- Cook on each side until golden brown. Cook on medium to medium-low heat. Be careful not to burn. Try not to flip the toast more than once.
- Serve immediately.
