Smoked Salmon Sandwich with Lemony Mayonnaise
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp lemon peel
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbs chopped, fresh dill
- 8 slices dark rye bread, buttered
- Lettuce, as needed
- 8 thin slices tomato
- 8 oz smoked salmon, sliced
- 1 cup sliced red or yellow onions
Directions
- Mix mayonnaise, lemon peel, lemon juice, and dill; set aside.
- Assemble rye sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, salmon, and onions stacked inside. Dollop with lemony mayonnaise.
- Garnish with fresh dill sprigs, if desired.
