Pulled Pork
Ingredients
- 3 Tbs brown sugar
- 3 Tbs Southern spice blend
- 1 pork butt
- Sauce2 15 oz cans tomato sauce
- 2 Tbs molasses
- 4 cloves garlic, grated
- 3 Tbs grated onion
- 2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 dash hot sauce, or to taste
- 1 Tbs vinegar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 225F.
- Combine spices and brown sugar in a bowl. Rub all over the pork.
- Place the pork on a rack in a roasting pan and place in oven. Roast until the internal temperature is 195F, which can take up to 24 hours.
- Pork will be very tender. Remove from oven and pull with a fork. Add to a slow cooker or a large sauce pan.
- In another bowl, combine all ingredients for the sauce. Taste, and adjust seasonings to your preference. Add sauce to pork and heat through.
