Mexican Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 Tbs flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups cold water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp ground cloves
- 6 cups whole milk
- 1 Tbs vanilla extract
Directions
- In saucepan, mix together sugar, flour, cocoa, water, salt, cinnamon, and cloves.
- Over low heat, cook until ingredients combine. Once combined, turn heat up to medium-high and simmer for 4 minutes.
- Stir milk in slowly and heat until simmering but not boiling.
- Stir until smooth and add vanilla.
- Whisk with fork and pour into mugs.
