Homemade French Fries

Ingredients
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup bacon drippings (more if needed)
- 4 russet potatoes (one per person)
- 1 pinch salt, or to taste
Directions
- Fill frying pan with about 2 inches of vegetable oil. Add bacon drippings and use more if you have it. Preheat oil to 350F.
- Scrub potatoes clean and cut into very small fries. Each should be about 1/3 inch thick.
- Fry the potatoes until golden brown. Drain on a kitchen towel or paper towel and add salt while warm.
