This caramel butter sauce turns simple frozen custard into a sweet luscious dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 6 small bananas, quartered
  • vanilla frozen custard

Directions

  • Melt butter in 2 quart saucepan over medium heat. Add pecans; saut 3 minutes or until foamy and fragrant. Stir in brown sugar and whipping cream. Bring to boil; continue boiling 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat. Gently stir in bananas; let stand 5 minutes. Serve over vanilla frozen custard.
