Chewy cookies that are so delicious dipped in cold milk.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups old-fashioned uncooked oats
  • 1 12 oz package dark chocolate chips

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375F.
  • In a dish, melt the butter in the microwave until soft.
  • In a bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda; set aside.
  • Add the sugars and melted butter to a mixing bowl. Cream butter and sugar at medium speed until light in color and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, and continue to mix again until fluffy.
  • Add the vanilla extract, mix until well combined.
  • Then slowly add the flour mixture, a little at a time, and mix until just well combined. Do not over-mix.
  • Add oats and mix until combined. Remove bowl from mixer and fold in chocolate chips.
  • Bake at 375F until golden brown, about 1012 minutes.
