Tanacetum vulgare
Tansy was once a popular medieval remedy and culinary herb. Today, the dried leaves are now only recommended externally as a skin wash for bruises and blemishes.
Greek legend has it that a Tansy drink was given to Zeus’ cup-bearer to make him immortal. Whatever the case, the potent leaf is now only recommended for external use. In fact, the dried herb is useful as a natural insect repellent for moths, ants, and fleas.

Common use:
Compress, wash for bruises, sprains; skin care (astringent facial toner and steam); natural insect repellant for ants, bed bugs, fleas, and moths. DO NOT USE INTERNALLY. NOT TO BE USED DURING PREGNANCY.
