Today, the leaves are cited in herbal pharmacopeias for soothing the throat, bronchial, and respiratory systems. Marshmallow powder can be either encapsulated or incorporated into topical preparations.

Marshmallow leaf is milder than Marshmallow root as a demulcent (produces a natural substance known as mucilage, which coats and forms a protective layer on the mucous linings within the body.)

Common use:

Soothes the mucous tissue of the throat and respiratory system (tea, gargle); soothes the urinary tract; soothes digestive & gastrointestinal health.

Suggested directions:
