Mallow is classified as a demulcent, an herb that soothes irritated skin and tissue. The leaves make a gentle preparation to comfort, coat and protect the throat, bronchial and upper respiratory passages.

Common use:
Gentle, soothing support for the mucous tissue, such as the throat and respiratory systems (tea, gargle); soothes urinary tract & gastrointestinal health.
Other Uses:
Soothes itchy, irritated skin (ointment).
Suggested directions:
To prepare as an “instant tea”: Pour 1 cup of boiling water over ¼ to ½ teaspoonful of powder. Drink 1-2 cups of tea daily. If desired add honey and/or lemon to suit taste.
