Citronella oil is a fresh, lemon-scented essence distilled from the Citronella grass. It is best known for its ability to repel bugs, and is added to soaps, candles and skin oils for this purpose. Citronella blends well with Lemon, Bergamot, and Orange.
To repel mosquitoes and the like, a few drops of Citronella oil may be added to your clothes. To use on the skin, it can be blended with other insect-repelling oils such as Cedarwood, Lemon, Basil, Cajeput and Pine, in a vegetable oil base.
