The fragrant Bay leaf from the noble Bay tree is valued as an exceptional spice in cuisines all over the world including French, Moroccan, Middle Eastern, and Creole. The pungent, slightly bitter flavor of Bay leaf powder can be used in place of the whole leaves and as the preferred form for use in seasoning rubs for meat, fish, and poultry.
Ground Bay Leaf can also be added to a tantalizing Garam Masala blend along with cloves, cardamom, coriander, cumin, black pepper, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
